In today’s world, youth empowerment and leadership are essential for building a better future and The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement offers two youth programs for middle and high school age students. The End School to Prison Pipeline (ETPP) Mentorship and Teen Social Justice summer program.

AADM’s goal is to provide a safe space and opportunities for students to acquire lifelong skills through experiential learning and mentorship.

“Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience, and is more specifically defined as learning through reflection and doing”. “Hands-on learning is a form of experiential learning but does not necessarily involve students reflecting on their product.”

ESTPP YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP & MENTORING
The End School to Prison Pipeline (ESTPP) program aims to empower and provide a support system for at-risk youth. To reduce juvenile incarceration and high school dropout rates by offering group mentorship, entrepreneurship, and character-building lessons. 12 week program. Students are required to attend weekly meetups and must participate in group activities.

*Only offered during the school year.

MUSIC FOR JUSTICE SUMMER CAMP
Music can have a positive or negative impact on today’s youth. With that in mind, this program is designed to expose today’s young adults to positive music from hip hop to various urban contemporary music. and help students enhance their song-writing and vocal skills. Students learn song-writing, about the music business, participate in a choir, and work towards producing compilation albums for social justice. 

Includes travel opportunities; leadership and recording sessions. 

We  provide a fun and educational experience that will enhance participants’ leadership and musical skills!

Application fee: $25 application. $50 per week.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
We offer community service opportunities for juveniles who need to satisfy their court orders, probation, or school disciplinary requirements.
